24 Hours.

Allison Peters

In twenty-four hours I will be in Costa Rica. I think it’s just now finally hitting me since lately I have been so distracted with finals. I still have a few things to pack, but luckily my bag currently weighs only 37lbs. I’m just trying to spend as much time with my family as I possibly can before I leave. I still have to teach my mom how to access the blog so she can read our posts while we’re away. In addition, I still have a few things for my graduation project to work on before I leave.

I’m also getting really excited though. I’m not really nervous about the plane ride; however I am scared about losing my checked luggage. I only have flown on a plane once before when I was seven, but I don’t really remember that much, so I’m worried about the fact that anyone can take my luggage. I can’t wait to meet the people, and see how they live. I’m really excited to meet the other high school students and to even hike through the rainforest. I really just want to disconnect from my usual life and experience something completely new with an open mind. I am kind of worried about the food though.

Well here is to my last day in the United States for while!
