*We are all the same
Faith Henderson
Today was a very interesting day. The best part of the day is when we met up with some of the Tico students for a game of soccer and basketball. Before when played these sports we had a great introduction about the school, students, teachers and the classes that they take. We also learned today that when you are in the 11th grade here you a senior. I think that it was great that the students came to meet us on their off day because of the religious holiday (Semana Santa.) We were also interested about them too, that’s what made it easy for us them and us enjoy each other’s company. I think that the game of soccer was great. They beat us bad but it is ok because we got them back in basketball.
After we were finished playing games and talking with each other we all sat done and asked a few questions about them and their country and they did the same. Even though we have a huge language barrier it is like we all related to each other. We didn’t look at our differences as much but the things that were very similar. We are all teenagers, seniors and have of the same interest such as teenage love and music. I really enjoyed today. I think it gave this trip a lot a meaning. If I were to give this day a phrase it would be “Wow, were not all that different”.

ReplyDeleteThat is very interesting... I just posted a comment on Julian's blog and ask about the other students who are actually from Costa Rica... My thought was that they probably didn't act very close to us because they see thing different from us... I think I am being a little bias toward them for my own reasons... I don't know what I was thinking... There Teenagers our age but in a different country... Not much difference...
